Waiting Children in Eastern Europe

These children are living in an HIV/AIDS orphanage. It is urgent they get committed adoptive families before they get transferred within the next few months. They are only 4 years old and at a critical time in their lives at which their future is about to be decided. I have met all of these children and they are wonderful. Please join me in advocating for them.

Boy.   July 25, 2006

This little boy is a really lovely kid who will do great in a family. He is a very sweet child. He gets along with everybody and he is very well liked in his group. He has an easy-going personality and he goes with the flow. He likes to wrestle and get silly like all little boys. It is critical that a family commit to adopting him very soon. Everyone that has met him raves about how adorable and sweet he is.

5 Year Old Girl in Africa Waiting

Adoption from Africa

This waiting child photolisting is for a sweet five year old girl waiting in Africa for a family of her own. D was born in 2005.  She is HIV-positive and currently on ARV’s.  She is in good health.  She is a very kind, fun-loving girl.  She is shy when you first meet her but warms up when you start interacting with her.  She loves playing tag.  She is ticklish and can be silly.  She is need of a loving adoptive family. Adopting from her country is easy and affordable.

$7300 Adoption Grants for Ethiopia

World Association for Children & Parents (WACAP) is a non-profit adoption agency. They are offering $7,300 grants toward the agency fees for the adoption of HIV-positive toddlers and children age 2 and older in Ethiopia. Eligible single women and married couples may adopt. You may specify the age range of the child(ren) you hope to adopt, but you must be open to either gender. After you complete your paperwork, you'll receive the referral of a child that matches your age preference. To find out more, please contact FamilyFinders@wacap.org.

Fundraiser for Your HIV Adoption

Here is an interesting fundraising option:

Angela and Jennifer are Usborne book consultants to help families fundraise toward their adoptions  (www.usborne.com)
Anyone can book a show as a fundraiser for an adoption.  Anyone.
So if you are the family, you can host the show.
If you know a family, you can host a show on their behalf!
If you are post-adoption but have medical expenses related to your adopted child’s diagnosis, you can fundraise toward those!
And if you don’t know a current family, your funds can be designated toward a medical needs adoption grant with From HIV to Home.
That simple.
The best part….the whole thing is done online!
You just pick a date and then post your “show” link on your Facebook, Twitter, blog, emails – wherever.
That’s really all it takes from you!  (Although Angela and Jennifer can give you a few tips on how to promote sales if you like)
The books are shipped directly to the buyers so you don’t even have to deliver books.
No cleaning house, no making snacks, no wondering if anyone is really coming, and no delivering the books to your guests!

Quite often, your customers will then offer to host another show toward your adoption.

And you get free books too!  There are several that are great for adopting and getting ready to travel families.
50% of all profit from your show will be donated to the adopting family.
And you, as the host, earn free books in the process (Jennifer just received $300 in free books from an adoption fundraiser show!)
Email to get started.  Angela and Jennifer will alternate shows for families, so when they hear from you, one of them will contact you to get you set up!

International Adoption from TAIWAN

Taiwan has waiting children with HIV registered for international adoption. World Association for Children & Parents (WACAP) is placing children with HIV from Taiwan.

According to Adoption.State.gov and the placing agencies:

Age requirements: One parent must be at least 20 years older than the orphaned child and the other must be 16 years older. (Generally aged 25/30 minimum to 50/55 maximum to adopt children with HIV).

Marriage requirements: Prefer couples who have been married at least 2-5 years (depending which agency you talk to). Single applicants are not currently being accepted.

Travel: At least one parent must travel to Taiwan for 4-6 business days.

Other adoption agencies which place children from Taiwan and have placed HIV+ children (from other countries) include: Children’s Home Society and Family Services (CHSFS), Bethany Christian Services, and Wide Horizons for Children and possibly Children’s House International (which was advocating for a sibling group of 3 in October 2010).
